My name is RJ (not Teeter) I'm going to be 19 on the 17th. I have gone through 14 cars since age 15, I guess I have a problem. I currently bought a 92 240sx orig. from VA and its one of the cleanest s13's I have ever seen (unless your last name is Vaness!) I guess i just got lucky. looking forward to this forum, hopefully there isnt so many flakers and bullsh**ers like nyspeed. Anyhow... whose ready for spring??

Most likely a SR there pretty cheap and it would be a good starting point. Right now im just gonna do suspension, 5 lug swap, exhaust, and wheels for carlisle. car runs too damn good and AC will be nice on the ride down. swap will come soon after...

Hungry anyone?

looks damn clean man, i'll be interested in seeing where you go with this one as all your other cars i've seen were well done.

I've said it before, this is sooo clean. Cleaner than any of my 240's...
I would say w/ the low miles to stick w/ a ka. For the 1500 or so you're going to be spending on an sr you can build a nicely boosted ka and have tons for torque to boot. I would have stayed ka in my latest build but I already had the blacktop laying around. Not to mention that it would make it unique as everyone else (including myself, has an sr :( )

We need more pics though, including interior pics...

Oh, and make it look like this:

but much lower, and much better wheels.

haha thanks guys. and ill give the ka-t a thought, but last i knew then never seem to last? idk. still new to the 240 thing, and open to many opinions. thanks for the compliments and once I sell a few more things i got laying around my garage the spending will begin! wish me luck! Jon, we will be in touch! haha

The ka-t's that are built and don't last are ones that weren't "built". If you take the engine apart and replace the used junk w/ quality parts (pistons, rods, headgasket, valves, seals, etc.) then it will be just as reliable as any other boosted engine.

dont the ka's make a shit ton more tq than the sr's?

why not go with the straight 6? i know if i had a nissan thats the swap i would go with

KA's do make a lot more torque, that's what I had said a few posts ago.

The RB motors are nice, and prices are way down, but it is alot more work, and often the parts are more expensive too.
An RB20 swap gives you some descent power but not much more than an SR, more potential than an SR, but a bit heavier too.
An RB25 gives you plenty of power, but is quite a bit harder too, and can require a lot of custom work, Dusty from Binghamton w/ the swapped hatch can tell you more if you can get a hold of him.
Now the RB26 is an awesome platform, and by far the most potent option. But requires a ton of modification along w/ lots of research and mixing of parts too. This can get quite costly, and if you are thinking this route, why not go w/ an LS1?

find me a deal on a LS-1 and its done haha. my dad would LOVE that one. i have time to think and pending on how much money i can gather. well see. needless to say no matter what happens Im both excited and Im sure ill be happy. Jon, any pics of them rear valances?

This is a 180sx w/ all optional aero... I have the rear valances (oem) b/c I was trying to make them fit the coupe, when I couldn't find the coupe valances (kinda rare)...

But your FIRST purchase should be the type x tail lights... I LOVE THEM!!! I would buy a hatch just so I could buy those...
